Ideal Period for Tarangire National Park

Tarangire comes alive from June to October, its dry season beckoning a multitude of animals to gather around the Tarangire River for sustenance. This is prime time for witnessing the awe-inspiring spectacle of vast elephant herds, making it the ultimate destination for elephant viewing in Tanzania. Predators, including the elusive leopard, also thrive during this period. However, with the onset of November rains, the wildlife gradually disperses from the park, signaling the end of this season of abundance.
How to Get to Tarangire National Park
Tarangire is commonly included in tours as a stopover en-route to or from the Serengeti. Scheduled flights also provide another option, landing at the nearby Lake Manyara airstrip for convenient access.
